I found a great article on homemade body and face scrubs on Whole Living. When I'm back at my parents house, my mom has an abundent of fun foods and oils that I turn into lovely body scrubs. My favorite: olive oil, fresh lemon, lemon zest and raw sugar. Or substitute the lemon for almond and vanilla extract. So yummy!
Above is a Coffee Zest Body Scrub
1/2 cup used coffee grounds
1/2 cup honey
1 Tbsp. fresh orange zest

How adorable! I have a pair of black suede pumps that I'm turning into these.
Materials needed:
feathers
Suede pumps
fabric glue
Q-tips/ thin paint brush
In a bowl, thin glue slightly with water. Starting at the point closest to the toe, apply glue with paint brush to the back of the feather and press down onto heel. Let dry before applying the next layer, working your way back to the heel. Once one side of the shoe is complete and dry, turn over to do the other. I found letting the feathers dry inbetween makes glueing the feathers on top much easier.
